For your consideration additional plugin that creates a combination of a button and a multi-items selector with intelligent button text update. Please see docs/javascript.html for an example and usage. If this is something that would considered for the Bootstrap I'm happy to refactor and/or recommit to 2.1.0 branch as needed.
