Cross-Over effect on carousel?

Hey there,

I was wondering if there was any possibility of using a crossover-like effect on the carousel instead of the swipe-like effect that's currently being used.

I'm currently only using 2.3.2 (didn't look at 3.0 as of now), but I would be interested if something like it would be possible in future releases.

The Swipe-effect is really nice and clean, but sometimes you just want to use a crossover effect because it fits better or for whatever other reason.

Is it possible? :)
